Simon Callaghan

Simon started his career in the Royal Navy after graduating from Oxford. He then moved into the City, to follow a career in financial services where he has qualified as a senior investment manager. He is an expert in pensions and investment and has continued to work with the same clients for more than twenty years - a testament to the level of service provided.

Simon has recently purchased a Salcombe Yawl www.syoa.co.uk and expects to devote much of his spare time towards renovating this to its former glory.

Andrew Cousins

Before joining Argent in 1999 Andrew was a director of Bradstock Financial Services, where he was responsible for the Employee Benefits division. Andrew helped to set up Argent Employee Benefits Limited and looks after many of the clients who followed him from Bradstocks.

An associate of the Chartered Management Institute www.managers.org.uk,  Andrew has enabled Argent to develop its paperless office system and use technology to enhance the efficiency of Argent’s operation.

Andrew is a keen gardener and devotes his spare time to his vegetable garden.

Steve Hollis

Steve joined Argent in 1978 and became a director in 1981. He looks after all aspects of financial planning for many long-standing clients and has overseen investment policies from inception to maturity. He is our authorised mortgage advisor and is well on his way to achieving the full Advanced Financial Planning Certificate – a qualification of degree standard.

A devoted cyclist and walker, Steve’s journeys have taken him to far flung places such as New Zealand.

Nigel Newlyn

Nigel Newlyn is a Chartered Accountant and former Finance Director of HMV (UK) Limited, who joined Argent in 1995.

Having gained his diploma in personal financial planning and, more recently, his investment management certificate, he has become a member of both the Personal Finance Society www.thepfs.org and UK Society of Investment Professionals www.uksip.org

In addition to looking after his own clients, Nigel is responsible for Argent’s investment portfolio construction and fund selection and monitors the on-going performance of Argent’s pension and investment portfolios.

Nigel is a keen yachtsman and competed in the Fastnet race in 2001.

Andy Rzysko

Andy has been with Argent for more than 20 years and helped grow the business on both the individual and group sides. Andy looks after a large portfolio of clients many of whom have been with him from the start.

A keen “Barbershop” singer both in Chorus and Quartet, Andy has performed in many shows. A recent highlight was a Chorus appearance on national TV with Robbie Williams.
