Fee Structure

What costs will you incur?

• The cost of running the platform offered by Raymond James is roughly 0.25% per annum of the funds under management.  To some extent, this depends upon how actively your portfolio is traded because this estimate includes transaction charges at £27 per trade.

• The annual management charge (AMC) of a fund depends upon the individual fund manager.  Whereas, the AMC of a typical retail fund is 1.5% (with 0.5% paid to your adviser) we rebate the 0.5% to your account.  This makes the net AMC to you 1%.

• However, because trading via Raymond James enables us to purchase institutional units on your behalf; and because RJIS has negotiated its own AMCs with many of the investment houses in whose funds we invest, the AMC of the average fund in your portfolio will be reduced to approximately 0.75% per annum.

• Argent’s fee for advising you and managing your portfolio is 0.851% per annum of the assets managed and gets progressively lower on portfolios with a value over £250,000. Unfortunately VAT has to be added to the Fee making the total 1.021%pa.

Remember – neither Argent nor Raymond James Investment Services receives any other fee or commission in respect of the business it transacts on behalf of its clients.  100% cost transparency is one of the central tenets of doing business with Argent.
